Tactless? Isn’t that a bit harsh?
I took the DiSC leadership test and I was told that, under pressure, I can be tactless. This realization, even though a bit harsh, led to a real epiphany about myself. I am, when under pressure, prone to a lack of tact. I try to be kind and I am working on reacting better to high pressure situations, but I will always be a little tactless. Rather than living in denial or trying to totally break myself of the habit, I decided to enjoy it a bit. Thus, my blog is a celebration of my lack of tact.
I will avoid making specific mention of people (unless it’s really positive) and try to stick to the larger issues. I won’t remain anonymous because that’s no fun. I know potential employers will probably see this. It is attached to my domain name after all. If they hire me they are going to discover my ongoing tact battle anyway. They will also discover my love/hate relationship with candy too. I also promise to endorse my favorite vendors and shamelessly promote them (I’m thinking of you guys at LibGuides). I further promise to bog this down with cool widgets for my favorite toys.
