LibGuides=Love

Boston College created an account just for the reference desk/services.  Would be a great idea to create general guides and research process guides.

BC needs to be our model for some ideas- I need persistent links from Voyager to really do the fun stuff- or I can use WorldCat

I need to put my downloads page into our LibGuides.  Freaking-A!  I also need pictures of books- are there problems with copyright if I do that?

Maybe I should call my NELIG workshop: “I <3 LibGuides and Facebook”

Radical Trust- Kenneth brought this up in our session.  This may be able to influence my Wikipedia research.

It seems there are two LibGuide applications in Facebook.   One is for anyone to have easy access to a collection of guides for the school they are in the network for.  The other seems to be for librarians who are creating the guides to highlight the guides they have created.  Both are now on my Facebook account.

Once we start doing open sessions we need to create guides for each of them and then put the schedule of when they will be offered next.

Here is something I have to ask the LibGuideGuys about- how can we switch librarians for guides?  For example, if one person leaves or takes over a guide.   I would hate to delete a guide and recreate it.
